About Bayt

Bayt.com is the leading job site in the Middle East and North Africa, connecting job seekers with employers looking to hire. Bayt serves around 44 million job seekers and 66,000 employers across the region.

The Problem

Based on user interviews and customer feedback we understood the following:

  1. Difficult to create job descriptions: Recruiters were struggling with creating the right job descriptions for jobs. They found it challenging to find the right keywords and details to attract high-quality candidates.
  2. Poor perception: Jobs without or with poor descriptions had a negative affect on jobseeker perception of the platform. This lack of high quality jobs created hinderance in high quality candidates.

Project Goals

The new AI-based experience is an attempt and aiding our customers to attract high-quality candidates by improving job post quality while making it faster, more efficient, and user-friendly. Specifically, we aimed to:

  1. Reduce Posting Time: Minimize the time required to create a job posting from start to finish.
  2. Increase Relevance: Generate job descriptions and candidate requirements that match the unique needs of each job.
  3. Customization: Offer users the ability to interact with AI-generated content to refine and personalize job postings.

Solution

We introduced this feature for our job recruiters to make their work easier and less time-consuming. Instead of spending hours designing the job description, it can be formulated just with a click. This has made the recruiters work more efficiently.

This feature also gives the users a chance to formulate and design their descriptions in a more professional way to attract customers and increase engagement.

1. Starting off with basic details

Users are welcomed by the AI assistant. Upon entering the main screen, all the user needs to do is add the job title, location, and minimum experience required and click the generate button to allow AI to do its task.

2. Reviewing Automatically generated job post

The system automatically generates the job description and skills for the user to review while also suggesting additional requirements. The user can add or remove details as per their requirement to refine finer details

3. Rewriting/editing made easy

The user can further fine tune the description by using the rewrite job description feature. Rather than crafting the entire job document from scratch, we present our users with a well-crafted starting point.

Providing a simple and adaptable experience, users can also save the draft or continue with posting the job.

We introduced the AI-Powered Job Posting feature as a beta version to a select group of users.

Feedback Collection

We actively gathered user feedback to address any issues, refine AI-generated content, and make the experience even more user-centric.

Results

The introduction of AI-powered job descriptions has brought about a transformative change in the job posting experience on Bayt.com. Notable outcomes include:

  1. Reduced Posting Time: Users can now post a job in a fraction of the time it previously took, with AI-generated content serving as an effective starting point.
  2. Increased Relevance: Job descriptions and requirements are more closely aligned with the specific needs of each job, leading to improved applicant quality.
  3. Customization: Employers have embraced the option to fine-tune job postings, allowing for highly personalized content.
  4. User Satisfaction: Early feedback from beta users indicates a high level of satisfaction and appreciation for the streamlined process.
